Hey, that's really neat! Great job!
Great map thank you!
If you ever have the time, I'd love to see a tutorial for this, Max.
Thanks much guys!
@THW : probably because of my old age
@ Diamond : I should have thought of it during the process :/ but really nothing really hard to here. For buildings blocks, basically outlines are done with a lightgrunge round brush, added a shadow by hand with a darker line, filled with color on two layers. then added some pattern in the color filled block first layer with blending mode layer option(adjusting blending mode and opacity). Then selected the color blocks layer, reduced, feathered and erased the selection so that you could see the second colored layer underneath.
This is really stunning! Another beautiful map Max!
Thank you! Glad you like it
Its great to see so many new maps from you. The City is slendid and I would like to see more of such complex maps. And I can agree to Diamond, a breakdown of the Working layers could be interesting to understand your way of working.
This is an amazing city map! I love the French and the labeling you did.
As everyone else is saying, great map!
Yphyrion is a strange name, and, as far a Google Translate says, it isn't a French word. So, a couple questions.
1) How do you pronounce it? and
2) How the heck did you come up with it?
The best maps are the ones we like the most after looking at the longest.
Thanks much guys! Comments appreciated
@ SK : I would If I hadn't to work on many projects :p
@ Amino : Glad you like the french touch many people here beg me to label some maps in english (which is understanable I guess )
@ Foremost : This is a fictional city with a fictional name. 1) Something like ee-fee-rion but well pronounce it the way you feel the best, it's up to everyone 2) Like I came with most of fantasy/fictional labels : just sounds good to my ears!
