Thanks guys for the reps and kind words. I've been studying Mike Schley's maps for inspiration, may never get to that level but it's worth trying. Thanks again, and Mouse if you can send a few clients my way Sanderling thanks for the typo finds!

Excellent maps! It reminds me a bit of the map J.Edward did for Robbie. Nice work in every ways.

Wow....just wow. I simply LOVE your work on these. And i just love this idea!! My father grew up on a farm in Italy, and today the property is split up between all his sibs....its like a "compound" now, since only my uncle grows a small crop of grapes for his wine and vegetables for the family. Anyway, i visited recently and have been feeling all "a la famiglia" nostalgic lately and your lovely, lovely maps have just inspired me to map my grandfather's land. Thank you for sharing and inspiring

Really nice job on these Snodsy. Kinda reminds me of some of J.Ed's work, but with your definite touches in there too - don't take that the wrong way, it's meant only as a compliment!

Great idea and I imagine just doing it brought back some nostalgia.

I'll rep you if I can!

Thanks GLS and Ilanthar - the nod to JE works should be apparent, since every time I start a map I look at his work for inspiration, along with a few others - Schley, Max. I'm very fond of Francesca's borders too but will never be able to illustrate like that.

Lorelei - look forward to seeing "The Compound" glad this inspired you to do one. I'll be watching for it.

Gorgeous work, Snosdy. Was this a Christmas gift for your family? If so, I bet they were thrilled!

Your linework is fantastic and I love the delicate colour palette. The whole thing is so completely charming, and I'd be over the moon if someone made something like this for me.

According to your maps, it seems to be really good places to live !
Your grandparents are lucky (for the houses AND the drawings !)
It's a good map to wander in imagination !

    This is awesome snodsy
I love the colors and the feel of it.
I would love to see more people doing maps of places that they live or lived or that were important in their lives.
I think you did a great job here snodsy. Nods in firm agreement.

I apparently need to spread a bunch of rep before I can get to you.
    But I will return.
