This looks nice overall. I'm not entirely sold on the reliefs, the color inversion doesn't scream mountains elevations at the first look imho.

Ilanthar: Thanks a lot! That's a really cool association, hehe…
Max: Thanks! I see what you mean, and I was worried that would happen. There's not much I can do about this anymore I'm afraid :/

Here's an update with graticule, more labels, and an attempt at a title/cartouche. I'm not happy with that attempt though, so I'll try to make something better there…

Here's another type of cartouche, and a border at the same time… I'm actually quite happy with this one I've also removed the graticule over the land, leaving it in the water. I think it adds some balance, a little more weight to the sea, but it'd be easy to put the rest of the graticule back if it looks too weird. Added some more labels and changed some too.

I guess I'm going in the right direction then Thanks for the likes!
Here is possibly the last update, though I might change some of the text still. I've finished the labeling (phew!) and written a block of story stuff to add some interest to the lower right corner. Not sure about the demon cities, I just made up some random fantasy names for them, but maybe they should be based on real languages. They were built by dead people, after all. But maybe they forgot their old language and made a new one. I think I'll go with that…

That's really cool. You have a gap in your story text though (end of the first paragraph).

Also you might want to fix the inaesthetic spaces between words in the first sentences of the first paragraph.

Ah, yeah, the text layout became pretty weird there. Maybe this is better?

Also, Slylok, I realized I never replied to your post! Sorry! That was a really interesting project, I wish I had remembered about that before I started this map… The style I chose would have been really outdated by the eighties (when the drilling was started, if I recall correctly), so I'll have to go with the supernatural explanation here though, hehe.

I really love this, Lingon. This would've been an awesome setting for some Cold War James Bond movies...

Thanks Diamond! Hehe, that could've been pretty cool "The Cold War is about to get hot…" *James Bond villain voice, presumably with heavy Russian fake-accent*

The water still feel too welcoming to my taste. I'll post some example to inspire you if you choose to make your water more hellish.
