Very cool! I love how you have kept a hand-drawn ancient-papyrus feeling to the map. Your drawings are awesome too - My favorite has to be Nephelea.

Also, those illustrations are really good as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how you intend to incorporate them into the main map.
Sorry, I haven't been clear ... The mythic beasts are not intended for this particular map, there are emblems of the nations of Agartha (the central world on this map) and therefore, I will use them on the map of each nation. Or so I hope.

    Thanks JO!

A small update (grrr, I'm still busy with work...). I colored most of the lands and began to do some clouds around Enumael. Thoughts?

Firstly, Ilanthar, those mythical beasts are awesome!

You may have struggled with the hydra, but it still looks pretty darn cool to me. I particularly love Nephelea and the Griffin though.

The worlds are shaping up nicely and have such a nice style to them. It's certainly different to see work where mountains appear so small, simply because they are tiny from this viewpoint. And on that note, you are definitely nailing the perspective. Also, the additional clouds look great.

I don't know how I missed this thread before, but great work Ilanthar. Can't wait for the next update, whenever your work allows it!

That, sir, is an awesome map. I love the high fantasy feel, and the perspective of the different worlds. They're all looking really great.

On a different note, the creature illustrations are fantastic, and certainly an interesting break from the norm.

Those beasts are really amazing; I think I may want you to draw my next tattoo!

I also want to echo what GLS said - the perspective is great. I love the whole look of this - it feels like it came out of a late 19th/early 20th century book. The delicate colors, the tiny details, the way the animals look; just has that vibe to it.

And again I'm reminded of why I'm an Ilanthar fanboy!
