This is looking really good! I like the way the colors stand out.
Like a thief in the night
    she comes with no form
    yet tranquility proceeds
    the accursed storm...

White ridges! Of Course! That's what's right!

*makes note to go and change the black lines out for highlight on own map*

We seem to spend all our time drawing ridges in black, when really they are the brightest point on the mountain!

    Great looking map

    Thanx Mouse
I tried using white ridges to give a more "realistic" style to my map. (which I need to find some time to finish!)

And thank you all for your comments!

I'll try to post an update tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing what you have! I like your painterly mountains.

I add some clouds, but I'm not sure if I don't need to thicken them or at least whiten them.
    Tried white compass and scale.

I like the clouds a lot. If I had a comment to do, I'd up the opacity of some clouds above the sea and add the cast shadow (with different opacities) of those clouds. It might anchor the map more.

    Thanx Tom for the feedback
That's what I wasn't sure, the opacity. The cast shadows are maybe a bit to light.

I tried to keep it simple, with white borders and title.
