What a splendid start Beee. I absolutely love it and can already tell how great this will turn out! So excited about this!
Now I just have to get cracking on my own map

Agree with all being said. This is going to turn out great!
I always love your borders Beee. You seem to pencil in the borders early on, does that mean you have an idea for the border right from the start or do you thumbnail the map and then decide what sort of border you want after you've got a map concept?
Royal: I'm very sorry for your loss, your mother was a terribly attractive woman.

Wow, guys ! Thanks so much for the support and kind words ! What's happening on the challenge this month is amazing, isn't it ? ^^
Thanks Jo ! And yes... yes, it's definitely a good thing ^^'
Haha, no pressure, uh ? It's a bit intimidating to face something which sweetened the childhood of so many of us
I promised to slow down in 2019... and failed right in the beginint
Haha, thanks so much Diamond ! But I see too many great entries !
Thanks for those kind words, Wolfe ! Actually you gave me food for thought... hmm... maybe some kind of damage in the corner...?
Thanks Bogie !

Thanks Naima ! Got inspiration from Gothic and Art Nouveau curves.
That's my hope for sure ! ^^
So glad you love it already ! Hope I'll keep the promise
Thanks M*3 !
Thanks Pap' !
Actually it depends on the map and the constraints I have, but yes most of the time I prefer to work on a first sketch mixing both ornamental elements and map itself to make sure they will work together. Sometimes the map has priority and I look for a border which will just make it stand, or sometimes I need to tell a story with the whole piece and the ornaments are more important. It's the case here, but I also was lucky : I quickly had this idea of a vertical stained-glass window frame with crazy flourishes, and it worked immediately. Not so much pain here
Haha, no, it wasn't ^_^
Just a first step. Hopefully a little more today or tomorrow !
It's going to be a great one, I'm sure of it Already love the frame concept!
Thanks a lot Kell !! ^^
