I guess my Dead Sun worshippers will give you some trouble
Hopefully, you're not my neighbour !
That being said : "The Sun fear nothing, He is the cycle of everything, the eternal phoenix, born every morning, dead every evening. As the Sun, we, the faithful, are eternal, our birth and death shall not affect our enlightened souls."

OK, I couldn't resist to do a little test... I haven't tried to draw a top-down city with my tablet and krita yet... So here's my first test, and damn, that's hard! (Why some of you are making it so simple in appearence !)

The industrial part is supposed to be built on stilts, directly on the rocks (hence my poor little illustration). I made the central part of the bridge able to open up in two parts to let possible ship masts pass...

This is looking wonderful Ilanthar! The idea with the stilts is really great. It might become the first object of my "industrial espionage"

Looks cool so far. Also I love buildings on stilts, I don't know why.

Ilanthar - I think you have just opened up the possibilities for an entire village built in the middle of one of the lakes - though it would take some organising between many neighbours

Shhh.. [whispering] don't speak about area 59, it could be heard by the city's secret militia AND the River Police.

I'll try to work on this in a not-so-distant future...

Ah! Oops! Do you think I might get arrested or something?

    Oh cool - a new idea -

When the city is complete it would be great to use it as a setting for a communal story writing project - one of those fugitive stories - the fugitive running around avoiding both the river police and the... er... that thing we don't mention - you know!

OK... After a while and being inspired by my neighbour's 3D work, here are my first results on the land and a few buildings.

    Oh wow!

How do you do this so quickly and so beautifully?

It was only yesterday you were talking about doing it, and now its already a good way done by the look of it, though I think I would have to avoid that sudden drop, and remember not to drink too much before walking around in your district! LOL!

Are you intending to use the same sorts of rendering techniques as Falconius?
