Hmm, you are correct, that is odd. Time to investigate!
Talk about happy discoveries, somehow my 'fingers of doom' managed to stumble upon the very same feature that Skaryn was so kind enough to share....However, for whatever reason, perhaps I am missing a setting or something, when I draw the terrain at the adjusted size it goes back to the default 100 size.
Is there a setting on the map somewhere that allows for custom sizes that I need to check/uncheck? Something in my maps configuration is not allowing this adjustable size.
Any ideas?

EUREKA! With the help of a fellow cartographer helping me through skype, we figured out the issue and its fixed. Tried the transparency like you suggested, fabulous! Going to play around to see what my favorite level is.
Played around with some of the settings for the land and such...Of course this has led me to a dreaded realization...The ol redraw...
Ok I started to lay some terrain in the upper corner island. For this one, it required that there be a volcano, however this particular map pack didnt have one so I had to edit and add to one of the mountain pieces in Gimp. I was happy with the outcome and here it is so far, with the bubbling volcano just waiting to erupt again.
Looks really good, can you post a copy of that volcano. I would make one recommendation, your island needs more greeblies.
Hmmm, where have I heard that term before...Greeblies
Here is the pic/icon:
By the way that is not varicolored, I havent figured that out yet...Are there any tutorials for making custom pieces for CC3? I did a search and couldnt find anything, of course im a Guild Novice
