hate drawing forests from a top-down perspective, honestly! I never think they look *quite* right.

Right? One of my side hobbies is whining about drawing forests here on the forums

Finished! For all that it is, at least. There weren't many opportunities to take WIP photos, sadly, but It is what it is. I'm not happy with the words on the final sign, nor the trees for the forest in the north, but... meh? I'm more concerned with the family issues that hit us last night while I was trying to finish up than anything.

I noticed your map wasn't in the thumbnails... is that because you didn't use the WIP tag?

So apparently the Thumbnail being displayed is the first basic sketch and not the final version? So I'm gonna try posting the final on this post to try and make it work properly. Please forgive my stupid.

Very vibrant colors, nice layout.

Nothing "stupid" about it. We all messed up at first trying to figure out how that silly WIP tag works.
Putting your final map in your last post by itself with the tag is the best way to do it.

Yeah I like the colours a lot. It's hard to get such intense colouring to work but this looks like you are well on the way to figuring it out.

Love the map, Taldoz! Thanks for checking my entry out and commenting on it. I love the "ridges" along the various rises making up the "Crest". It really helps make the map "pop".

Thank you all so much for the compliments! I'm glad the colors came out okay, honestly! - I suck at coloring villages! ^_^' Case in point; my trees are a bit too crisp and flat looking, I feel.
