I tried Blender and I have given up on that so I downloaded and tried the x64 POVRay and it was pretty cool and much faster than I thought it would be but I noticed that it was only using one core so quick google and then I got hold of the new beta. Crikey that one is a bit faster isnt it. I am pretty sure its more than 4x faster. A 1280-1024 no AA biscuit file takes less than 5 secs now. I like the idea of a text based scene graph so was interested. Have you tried using anything based on Gelato ? I see the pro version of that is now free and its supposed to be very close to PRrenderman. I have no experience with it tho. Anyone tried it ?
