That could work as well.
Rather than create another sticky perhaps just edit the first post and list all the texture sites listed here to date?
I didn't see this one listed, but it seems to have some nice textures and such on it... Spiral Graphics

They have some really nice terrain textures on there. Great find, Steel General. Hmm they are also looking for beta testers!
Moved all the links to the first post and added two more sites:

I also changed the post title and set it stick as suggested.

Oh cool Mayang is back up. That used to be *the* place for textures then it went offline for ages - so long that everyone thought it had gone to the four winds. I wonder how long its been up again. Thanks for posting.
Uh just got some really nice textures by doing a google search on 'golden marble'. lots of interresting links there also.

Quite a few nice looking textures here. Searched the forum for 'blender3d' and didn't see this listed anywhere:

Hope you find something useful there.
Found this great list of texture making programs and texture utilities / sites on the Second Life Wiki:

I ran across TextureKing today. It doesn't have a lot of large scale photos, but it has a quite generous license. Might be useful for modern and sci-fi mapping/objects.
