Such beautiful work once again, love the tree as a border - your map are so inspirational and at the same time so dishearting in that I will never get to this level. Thanks for sharing and wish I could rep you, but will have to come back to do so. Just WOW!!!!

Thank you! And I know, I tend to put too many details and give too much importance to the border illustration. It is not easy to find the right balance

Also, as to Max's comment I don't necessarily think the border is overpowering, but I think it would have worked a tiny bit better if the outer parts of the frame were either significantly darker or lighter than the main map. But that's only a really slight nitpick to another really fine piece!
Thank you very much GLS! Yes, I could try to differentiate the border from the map using colours. It could be a great solution to the problem, thank you!

I love the robins and hobbits in the tree, the rabbit on hobbit hill, the ponies, Gandalf in his cart, the Old Mill and Ted Sandyman. I don't know how you do it!

Thank you Matthew! Sometimes my borders could be a little bit overwhelming I truly appreciate that you have noticed all the details. I'd like to see my maps more as illustrations with a story to tell. This is why I add too many details!

Such an outstanding atmospheric piece of art Francesca! It reminds me of the old illustrated children books i immersed in at my grandmother's house.
