Okay, time for the climates! I'm mostly following Azelor's climate guide.

First up is the map of ocean currents:

    world_currents.png

For the most part, I think I've arranged them logically, but there are two places (the question marks on the map) where I'm not a 100% sure how the currents would actually move. For the northwestern ocean, I ended up emulating the Atlantic Ocean currents because the two have a similar latitude and (somewhat) similar landmass arrangement. As for the other question mark, I wasn't sure if smaller gyres would form or whether the continental shelf around the island arcs would even redirect the eastern ocean current.

Here are the pressure maps for January and July:

If anyone has any advice/critique (especially on the currents), I'd be happy to hear it!

Updated the ocean currents map a bit:

I think I figured out reasonably logical currents. I hadn't properly taken the potential polar ice into account so I revised the currents near the north pole.

    Hello. Heliagon.
Very good world! I think these continents are wonderful.

    Temperatures

Temperatures proved challenging so I decided to use Clima-Sim as a starting point. I assume it's fairly accurate (more accurate than what I could come up with, for sure) but I did modify the temperatures slightly according to the influences outlined in Azelor's guide.

The precipitations were the most laborious step, I spend a while on them. For the most part I'm happy with them but the big continent seems suspiciously dry during July.

And here's an unedited climate map created with Charerg's handy script (Kiitos ja kumarrus!).

As always, I'd be happy to hear your critique!

Thanks! Clima-Sim is a program that simulates climate conditions of a world. You can draw your own continents in it and the program produces monthly temperature data for it. There's a demo available on their site.

It takes into consideration coriolis, effects, winds, mountain ranges, sun temperature etc?

Altitude and annual solar energy is are things you can customise, so they have an effect on the simulation. I'd assume that coriolis effect is taken into consideration but I haven't delved that deeply into the program.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of the temperatures. I mean, both the summer and winter temps are quite hot on the main continent, even at the high latitudes. Some areas located 45° are above 35 °C in summer. To put things into perspective, that would be the same as the Great Lakes or southern France having temperatures as hot as the heart of the Sahara. The continent ends up having subtropical climates in latitudes comparable to Canada or Central Asia.

The smaller continent, on the other hand, seems to be considerably colder than similar locations on Earth, the summer temps are below 22 °C even in the tropics (indeed, tropical climates don't appear on this continent at all).
