Looks really good now! One other thing you may or may not want to consider is hedges or hedge rows. Especially when it comes to gardens and fields I don't suppose people want the chance of wild life walking in and eating all their crops.
Another quick update to the map
Added a few of the shop names, and a total population count in the title there.
For now, i suppose I will focus on a background story for the village, while continuously staring at this map looking for things to improve upon

That's a very nicely laid out village. I really like the foreshore fade into the waters. Boats looks good and add to the liveliness of the whole. All in all a good job, and worthy of any eighties White Dwarf magazine (the best era for WD in my view).

thank you
Thank you for the feedback! I will have to try and check out this White Dwarf magazine!
Took QED42's advice and added some hedges in

at first, i did not know what to think. Now, i think they really seem to pull the map together.
I honestly was a bit confused by the advice and tried to hunt down a few pictures, but couldn't exactly find what to look for - so I hope I did this right!
I am also working to put together a quick "guide" for the town (review of the people and buildings), I hope to get it done within the next few weeks
Any critiques or advice welcome!
If you're going to have a bakery, you really should have a mill as well.
very good point - Thank you!
