I think this might be my favorite of your maps so far! Wonderful job.

Beautiful work! The color balance and usage, as well as the pen drawn style, makes this a very nice illustration.

Totally love this! I'm curious: do you use isometric graph paper, and if so, what kind?

Thanks! Honestly, I've never used isometric graph paper. To organize structures in isometric or perspective views, I typically use a square grid in Photoshop. I create it as a separate transparent layer, draw object or building footprints over top of it, and then free transform the grid and footprint layers together. Once I've got the view right I then just freehand draw the whole thing.

I probably should try out some of the isometric graph paper tools. They'd most likely speed things up a bit.

Ah, and freehand drawing in Photoshop with a tablet sounds like?

Yep. I'm currently using Photoshop CS6 and a Wacom Intuos 4.

Funny. I've never been able to really get into drawing with a tablet. I'm a n00b at mapping, but I've been thinking about starting something (also an isometric city) and I always think pen, paper, and scan.

Why do you draw in PS instead of on paper? What're the advantages?
