Well that was a nice treat. A very cool idea to let two different mappers do the same world in different styles.

Congratulations on your awesome maps. I really dig them.
For me, i really like your maps when zoomed out, and Thomrey's when zoomed in. I get a better feel for the overall lay of the land from your maps but for the details i really like Thomrey's better. So in other words, they complement each other very well.

Very well done, both of you!
And a big thanks to the author as well, not only for the idea but also for allowing us to see the maps in a very good resolution.

These are just fantastic Daniel and remind me of Christopher Saxton's maps of 16th century England. Even though you've most likely got a later version of the software than he did back then

You and thomrey should start a carto-porn industry between you

As i said already on your last map you posted, this antique style you have going is really stunning Dan! I instantly fell in love with your trees/forests. A minor nitpick would be the wavelines in my view, but it really doesn't diminish the outstanding quality of the whole picture(s). Each of these would deserve to be repped but you're just too productive lately!

Wow, thanks for the kind comments everyone! I'm really happy that you all like these maps so much. And thanks for the critiques as well! The maps have already been finished so I won't make any more changes, so I'll take your feedback to future maps (:

Wonderful maps! I just saw them on the guild's facebook page so I had to come check them out. Great job!

That's a really good way to put it; I was struggling to express what my opinion was, and you nailed it.

    Good job, fantastic job! Bravo!

Oh wow, I love these. This is my favourite style of maps, and you've nailed that 16th century look. Just fantastic work.
