How to improve my map ?

I would be happy to take a look at your map, but I can't see it. I see a lot of Photobox advertising, but nothing that even vaguely resembles a map (I'm getting redirected to the site entry page, it looks like).

If you are looking to learn a bit more about Photoshop, I always recommend this tutorial. It doesn't really explain the WHY, but I think you can get a good idea of HOW PS actually works. If you follow this tutorial, you will have a completely different map from what you actually would like to achieve, but chances are that you'll have a much better understanding of the program than before and then put that knowledge to use.

Regarding your map, I think it's already pretty good, especially considering that you're using just a mouse and keyboard. If you fix the rivers you're on a good way!

Like Waldronate said, I can't see a map anywhere. But I'm curious to see what you've done! And yeah, why not post it here directly? A lot of people, myself included, don't like clicking outgoing links...

in the very first post you used reddit's imgur but just a link
then a link to advertising on photobox

reddit and imgur is good but i link using clickable thumbnails
these allow a lowres version for everyone and a hires version for those that are interested and click on it

i normally use imgbox

and the thumbnail size can be adjusted
