Edit: In between jobs, I managed to muster up the courage to do the titling.

This was unknown territory for me, which was fun. There are some things I would change if I could, but overall I'm happy with it. I wanted to keep the original blues, just reuse them different ways, and that teal is always a favorite for me.

I do believe I've finished the inking of the land. I don't know that I want to do much for the water bordering. I like the gradient of colors in the original, so I think I'll keep the lineless feel.
This will be really nice to get some color on, it looks a bit cluttered (as per usual), but I'm hoping that the color differentiation will help resolve that.

Howdy, quick update before work.

I've broken into the border finally, as you can tell, the theme is exotic, weird birds. I have always found birds to be otherworldly, especially that fellow sitting up on top left, such an odd creature. My roommate has refereed to the urutau as "the bird that greets you at the gates of Hell", which I find funny, because they are just adorable to me.
Anyhoo, there will be columns and flora to come, I'm still feeling out ideas. I have a nagging aspiration for illustration, so I'm also shooting for portfolio material with this one.
