They maybe were designed as firepits, but first and foremost, I see the best semaphore (fire alarm) towers that anyone has created to date. Excellent objects.

I noticed in another thread that someone posted their entries in this challenge are "not free", so I'm not sure of the proper protocol here, but I'll clarify mine.
Anyone is welcome to copy, use, abuse, modify, misuse, or otherwise do as they like with my firepits, except please don't claim them as your own.
Actually ... I prefer the way that you did them, but they could have been made of wood too and still have been historically correct. Semaphores in smaller northern European villages often were made of wood, and they burned along with the alarm fire, but that wasn't a big loss, because they were quick to build.
