well its irrelevant because i use windows 7
The one posted on Yahoo!'s rpg-tools group seems to have issues with Vista and Windows 7 on the registry protection front. I'm not sure how it does on XP, though.

I commented out line 442 (put a "#" in front of "init_registry") in world.tcl and the world.exe program seems to run on Vista. This change removes the .wb file type auto-registration but that change is a minor one in overall functionality.
anyways, does any one know of a planetary calculator-type thing where you can input a couple of variables in for your imaginary planet, like mass and density, and you can see other things like diameter/circumference, surface gravity, and other things like that. i found one not long ago but i forgot to bookmark it and i cant find it again. also does any one know of a similar program but for stars and their properties? it would be nice if it also included the size of its habitable zone. thanks
Profantasy has Cosmographer Pro, which is a Campaign Cartographer 3 add on program. NBOS has AstroSynthesis (sp??) which is a stand alone program. I don't know anything about the former and only a bit about the later, but AS is supposed to have some really nice features as well as a scripting engine for which many fans have created scripts to generate random type of planetary data including habitation(though, I don't know if it has any way to calculate habitable ZONES of a planet.... it's basically... planet x supports life and has x population type thing.)
