When I have time... and when I can afford the software... I will download the trial version and see how my Wacom behaves with it, then report back here, but that's not likely to happen for a couple of months yet.

Well you can check the trial anytime i guess

I like to get these things when I already have the money to buy - if I like it

EDIT: Or I end up falling in love with something I can't afford, and do something stupid like spending the money I've saved up for paying the bills!

    Ok....

I went and downloaded the trial. Its only for 10 days, and I also have the delay problem when using my Wacom, so its a no-buy situation for me. I've got better things to do than wait for a full second before starting to draw each line from where I put the pen down.

Sorry - not recommending this software!

Harsh... but true. I will let you know when they fix the problem

Thanks Voolf - please do, since the rest of it looked really jaw-dropping juicy. My conscience, however, will not allow me to recommend something I'm not prepared to use for myself.

EDIT: Incidentally I have just registered as 'Mouse' on the Affinity Forum

No problem. Btw, can you tell me what Wacom model do you have, i am trying to gather info which wacoms do and which dont work properly.

    Its a CTL-471

They call it the 'One' (cringe - cheesy I know but that's what they call it), and I think its the new 'Bamboo'

    Thanks, that will be useful.

Thanks everybody for the recommendations. I will definitely give Affinity Designer a think. Does anybody know if 'Ortelius' is any good? It is apparently 'map design software', but all the reviews seem to be quite old. Thanks!
