I'm far from what Turner was able to do... but I value the praise!

Shading of the mountains is done, as well as part of the "Brolin Elemental".
So, I will indeed focus on colors and shading of the lands next.

I decided to start a compass in the quite empty plateau in the bottom right.
The colors are just a base layer (apart from the sky), and the final result won't look like this. I will add more layer with shading/saturation.

Wowwwwwww! That Sun-mask is amazing. Reminds me a bit of this. I am going to have to file away "masks as symbols" as an idea for later.

I also really like the city on the eastern peninsula: the way the buildings and walls sweep up towards the edge of the promontory is really cool.
