Getting closer. All place-names are done. Next will be icons representing events and actions.

Wow, Diamond. You work fast!
The muted color scheme is very fitting. Nice sharp lines, too.
The best maps are the ones we like the most after looking at the longest.
Indeed, this is very fine work. And as always – this map feels so unique, awesome and, well, Diamond
Cheers,
Tainotim
I like this very much!
"We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams"
A great map, with a lovely choice of colours, great icons, nice landshape.
As for the feeling of the precarious balance of forces: if I'm reading the map in the right sense, you're depicting areas of influence of the main houses, so for example, you may say that Ettarna is maily under the influence of House Valdrid. It would also be great if you might tell who is acting, like "House Danici is Sabotaging House Cappadova in Aguirra"; a little bit of who's acting-where-why wouldn't hurt in an already great map.
Okay, whew. Marathon mapping session today! I think this is all done.

Thanks for the suggestions. You're correct in that a particular color shows majority influence of that House. I tried to show competing influence in some regions by showing other House bank branches in some cities under the control of a different House.
I had thought about noting what some of the events actually were, but then I thought, "If I label some of them, it will look odd if I don't do all of them." So I ended up not doing any, because to do all would've waaaaay overcrowed an already crowded map.
