The desert one is awesome!
@meshon -- well, not 12 minutes each. The process is time consuming, but there's a flow to it, as you probably know. I get rolling and then go to a "zen happy place" of mountain drawing for hours at a time. I talk about the process being kind of automatic or algorithmic, because I'm using a simple set of principles that don't require a lot of conscious deliberation. And it gets faster and easier the more I do...

@Robert - Thank you! I was worried it might have been a little long. I think I'm going to show some forest techniques next.

These tutorials are so fantastic, I used this to help my understanding with my own mountains, so THANK YOU so much!
Also excited about forests because that is the next thing I need to do
Everybody knows I'm crazy about Torstan's maps, and I've posted a new tutorial where I sort-of follow HIS tutorial in drawing some more mountain ranges... Torstan-Style Mountains - http://youtu.be/xIk99gVkh8Q

Xpian, these tutorials are really fantastic; kudos to you for taking the time to do them.
I happy to give back to the community in whatever way I can. I've learned so much from the great tutorials here, on YouTube, and on DeviantArt over the last few years.

I'm ashamed to say I haven't watched these yet, but they're on my list for when I get time (hopefully next week). I really love how you do your mountains so I'm looking forward to watching that one. Thanks for taking the time to make and share these with the community.

That's very kind of you, and I appreciate what you're doing, especially since I just started.
Also - You did forests!! Thank you I just watched and I've already learnt so much. Looking forward to the deciduous tutorial. These are great, and honestly - seeing over your shoulder is a very interesting and immersive experience and really helps to understand. I love the format!
