Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you like it. The map is actually inspired by a real town in Sweden, looking at the real world usually gives you ideas that looks convincing in your maps.

It's a lovely map but the best thing about it is the shape. Clercon you always have elegant curves in your coastlines! I must take a look at real coastlines for inspiration at this scale!
I love how you did the water here. What tools do you use to paint it this way?

Larb - The water is mainly done by using the oil paint filter in Photoshop. You don't get it by default you have to download an addon from Adobe that is called Pixelbender. After I applied that I'm usually working a bit with shadows/light to get the right feeling.

Cool idea to have a city that looks like a small isthmus even if it is merely a town with a canal lock/barrier for ingress and egress from a lake or river mouth.
Nice usage of the colors, it's looks very good.
