Well the little snap shot sure is enticing

As for the arrow loops in the walls; to me, the condensed stones where the opening narrows look odd.

First: I have no good technical solution for that (suggestions welcome) and second: it's quite common to use smaller stones for that kind of masonry.

I use Visio for a lot of things (like DMing) because I've used it for years. In Visio you create a line pattern and then Visio goes and messes it up (really badly too). Not that it doesn't work at all but I tried making stairs after I saw yours and Visio made all of the boxes rotate 90 degrees. So then the shadows just went whacko.

I've tried Illustrator somewhat. It is very nice. Sort of wet my toes in it so to speak. What with 14 hour days at work and trying to do some programming at night - I'm tapped out for doing artwork. But if I get the chance I'll try finding a tutorial on making stairs. :-) Because these stairs look really nice. :-)
