Nice job so far Tainotim. I'd personnaly go deeper and shadows and highlights on the whole map. At the moment it looks a bit flat and lacks of contrast in my opinion.

    The sorrow.

About to sit down and work on all the suggestions, only to find that I have accidently saved over the working file with a cropped version that I made as a header for my G+ the other week. Unless anyone know a way to restore this somehow (after a week), then I would be incredibly happy! If not, I guess any further work on this wont happen

I will probably re-label what I have so far, and just call it finished. Such a demoralizing and stupid thing to do. But I guess it's something that most people do at least once!

But still, thanks for all the feedback on this one. Just wish I had been able to work with it.

    No cheers this time,
    Tainotim

Aaaaah, that kills me when that happens. I feel for you, man. For what it's worth, I really liked what you had here...

Really cool map and design, tainotim. Even though it got saved over before you could do more with it, it's still a fabulous piece. Inspiring, too.

    Go here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7210008
and read the post by kiloj757 about 4 posts down.

There is also some possible help here: http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/pho...photoshop.html
if you have Windows and a restore point at the right time.

And for the future, consider something like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o03_s00
For under $100, this drive just sits there and saves everything you do, as many generations back as you want it to.
