Really nice!! I love your icons; very clean style.
Well, life got in the way, but I'm back to working on this map.
Its currently in a WIP state, but I'll show you guys what I got so far. I took a snippet of my world map to create a temporary coastline layer and did a loose arrangement of labels, rivers, and mountains.
I then started working on the forests in the region; Atrabosk in the center and Eldarch in the south-east. Took me four tries to come up with a style I liked. I ended up mimicking the style of the Wilderlands map for the Hobbit.
I'll probably go back and add some trees around the hills in the Jottunarch Fells to fill in the spaces between them, as that is what fells are supposed to look like.
Typography outside the regions of the forests are temporary, and obviously way too big. I'll be drawing the coast line last so as to not box myself in.
Next project will be the forest regions along the upper left part of the continent, the last major forests. I'll then start work on the more civilized regions.
Really nice!! I love your icons; very clean style.
I like this pretty tolkeniesque style. I particularly like the part with the strange vegetation in its Valley. Hope to see more of this in further wip.
Viridiri Forest

Not as exciting as the other two forest I've done.
The forest is named after the indigenous tribe of people that live there, the Viridiri. They are secretive and hostile to outsiders. The altars at their hidden temple are soaked with the blood of those unlucky enough to be captured by Viridiri raiding parties.
To the south the kingdoms of Crador and Gottland border the Serpencoda river (named as it wiggles across the land like a snake). Heavy lumber industry there. Wood shipped downstream to Fleetport for ship building.
The coastline is covered in salt water adapted mangrove trees. To the north is a series of small conical and homogenous hills that resemble large haystacks during the summer when the grass atop them turns yellow.
To the south, the path through the woods is called the Fool's Trail, taken by merchants trying to shave days from their journey. They sometimes fall prey to the Viridiri. To the north a similar trail runs through the forest, but the matriarchal warrior society of the Azzi call it the Hero's Road, where brave soldiers patrol the forest to keep their eastern borders safe.
