I have cc3+/cd3/dd3, plus the CSUAC and the Vintyri collection. And of course, Mike Schley and Herman Weilink styles, which they have added to the core program. I have picked up some art here and there, but I'm still going through the tutorials to learn how to integrate them into the program. I haven't even finished the basic program tutorials yet, let alone the Tome! I really need to do that.

And, I just downloaded Gimp so that I can add artwork and a nice frame to this map for the challenge. Which means yet another set of tutorials to go through! lol

I agree with Ladiestorm. If you are really interested in getting fantastic results with cc3 and cc3+ then the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is absolutely essential. The tome was written for cc3 but most of it applies to cc3+ as well. They said on their website that they plan on updating the tome to cc3+ as well so that is a good thing. For $20.00 American you can't beat it.

Your decision, of course, but it would be much wiser to get it now and get the update when it's available. The Tome simply is something that no serious CC3/CC3+ user can do without.

I can completely understand that. Household of 4 with only one income, here. Since I'm an unknown writer, my two books don't sell much.

I saved change in a jar for little over a month to buy the Tome. I still haven't finished working through it, but my maps have definitely improved just with the little I've worked through.
