July/August Lite Mapping Challenge: Black Talon Reach

LOL... sure Of course, I have done a few changes to this map... and added a few things !

Well, I realized after the last posting, that I didn't actually care for the way this map was going. I didn't leave myself as much space as I wanted... this is supposed to be an abandoned village, but I didn't leave myself enough room for the village ruins, nor the new buildings that have been built up here. So last night, I started from scratch.

I also did things a little differently, since I found some neat symbols I didn't realize I had. So here is the new rendering. I'm not as far as I was before, but I will catch up quickly, I promise!

Do you mean by not having enough space that you intend to scale down the buildings and tents and things a bit?

Wow! Quite the shift. I can relate. Both look nice so I'm looking forward to see how they differ.

I'm actually so used to doing the streams and cliffs now, that it only took me two and a half hours to get back to this point. Like I said, I can catch up in no time. And yes, I think these cliffs work just fine, which is why I switched. Plus it will make it easier for some of the other stuff I'm planning!

And 2 and a half hour ? Wow !!! That's fast for such a good job ! Bravo !!!

Oh, that's just because gotten used to the process. The first time I did rivers and cliffs like this, it took me three or four days! It also helps that I found the cliff symbols...they sped the process up a LOT!

I've already got my ruins in place, and starting on the camp, itself. I won't be able to post until tomorrow, but hopefully I will have enough details set for it to start coming together. We'll see!
