Wonderful map Caenwyr, Your mountains are indeed hypnotics, and I like the alternative idea of round flag!

Saw it on Facebook and instantly hit the like-button. This is great. Colors, forests, mountains, labels - all fantastic. Critique? Purely preferential, but I think the map could have done without the symbols on the right-hand side. I feel like they are too big, so much so that they take away the focus from this beauty. Anyway, repped.

Thanks Snody! That in itself I consider a massive compliment! But erm, how do I add that tag?

Actually, you do not need to tag it anymore. Redrobes fixed it, your gem will be picked up by the thumbnail scrapper and will be nominable (nominated !) next year

Thomrey, as long as we place a map in FINISHED MAPS it will be picked up?

Snodsy, the script Redrobes created pulls maps based on the thread creation date in the database, so there's no action needed from users. The tagging thing was always a workaround since we didn't have anything better at the time, but now that Redrobes has figured it out, we'll hopefully be much more organised next year.

    Beautiful piece, overall.

I love how you use colors and i also think that you pull this forest style off extremely well. It is well known that i am not that big of a fan of that style but with your maps, it is looking really good.
Your labeling is indeed top-notch. It just clicks for me.

The only thing where i will be the odd-man out (again) are the mountains. While they are not bad at all (artistically speaking they're still super awesome) they just are too extreme to my eyes. They don't get a realistic-label from me (not that that means anything but there you go ^^ ). They're just too needle-y...too sharply pointed. That kind of always gets me with your maps. I think your maps would be even more perfect, if you could pull of a flatter, more grounded mountains style. But again, that's complaining on a very high level. As said, that map looks fantastic. And i am very much a fan of this style of yours.

    Ok, enough babbling from me.

If i can, i'll rep you (but i probably will have to spread it around for a bit, unfortunately).

Outstanding work! I love the mountain ranges. The colors are really quite nice as well. Solid line-work to boot. I agree with Abu Lafia about the labels, but beyond that my only nitpick would be the bevel/emboss along the border. This is a gorgeous hand drawn piece which deserves an equally gorgeous hand drawn border. As it stands the current border just seems to "photo-shopy" to me. Otherwise marvelous.

    Cheers,
