The outline makes me think of Moya ... which makes me think I should rewatch some of the Farescape episodes again.

Nice idea! Curious to see whre you go.

    Farscape?

Hmmm.... I wonder if I've dragged some vague scent of a similar idea out of my subconscious. That was quite a few years ago now!

Good job I'm not trying to sell this drawing then

EDIT: Though the Cephalopod is a bio-mechanical ship just like Moya, I think Moya is based on something other than a cephalopod. She looks more like an elongated and rather elegant four-limbed crab of some kind. Interesting, though, that sea creatures make such interesting space ship shapes

Really? Must be a re-show. I remember watching that series back in... 1999? That's... really quite old now.

I missed it, and a whole bunch of other stuff, the first time around. First Farscape episode I saw was The Peacekeeper Wars. PickTV show a lot of science fiction, and they showed that last year (and currently for that matter).

I really enjoyed watching Farscape, but I wasn't too keen on Aeryn. She always seemed to be scowling like nothing was ever good enough for her.

    Thanks Abu

This is the first time I've dared to go down this road. There are so many people here at the Guild who draw these kinds of things on a professional level, and I know mine isn't going to turn out half as polished and spectacular as the work they do, but I've decided 'what the hell', and I'm having a go at it myself just to sate my curiosity about what its like to have to draw one of these things

Still working on the background and arrangement. I think most nebula are more orange, red and yellow than blue, green and purple

This is a text suitability test.

In the Starship combat game of Battlefleet Gothic there is a race of creatures called Tyranids that use organic spaceships too, only they are basically gigantic insect colonies that travel through space consuming every living thing in a galaxy that they happen to run across. They aren't very pleasant creatures by any means, but their ships can live in the void of space without the need for oxygen and they tend to be rather aggressive towards everything.

So far I think you are doing great with this challenge.
