Contour lines look great. Are you going to do any relief shading, or... well - maybe there's just not time for that now

OK I think I'm going to stick with contours to give me an idea of the lay of the land. I'll have a look to see where the major rivers are going to go next. Then settlements followed by battlegrounds.

@Mouse I may add some shading if it feels appropriate for the style I'm trying to create.

OK, here I've sketched in where I think my rivers are going to go. I'll put some settlements in and then connect them with some roads, then I can see where the major battles took place
