    Nice start!

Yes Vauban is a great source of inspiration, and a great architect too
D'autant plus que c'était un humaniste éclairé avec des idées plutôt pacifistes .

    Hi all,
Some more tests... Not happy with the stronghold texture and the grey color is not my cup of tea for now, red perhaps ?, the lava merit an in-depth work thought. All (except the ink lines) done with the tube paint anf knife.

    Hi all,
I was going nowhere trying to paint lava from scratch with tube paint and knife, so I quickly made a lava texture with Gimp and used it in ArtRage as a stencil. I hope it looks like a lava sea

Actually, yeah, that's pretty convincing lava! I like it.

    Hi all,
    Thanks Diamond
My last WIP, as I will be away for some weeks. I surely will not be able to vote, I'll try to spread some rep when I'm back
I am a bit ashamed to present you this, it looks like more experiment than a challenge entry and I probably shouldn't have use a challenge to test ArtRage On the other hand, without a theme and a time limit it would have certainly remained at scribbling stage...
Anyway, what is done is done :

To me that is the exact purpose of the challenges. It's to try new ideas, techniques, programs whatever. You get a lot of feedback and you have a defined project in terms of time limit subject matter etc. It is, I think, the ideal place to experiment. Also if the experiment doesn't work out its no biggie it's finished after a month and you just move on. But if it does work out you can develop the project further or apply what you've learned to new challenges. Yeah definitely my favorite part of the challenges.
