Has anyone ever used a video game to make a map?

I think its a good idea, although honestly who has enough time for DF? Though I think the DFMA is still running and we could take maps from there ( if there are legal issues with that, I have a few ancient maps there people could use).

I did a map of my residential area in Unreal Tournament editor once when i was young and played a lot with my firends. We could run and kill ourself literally in our apartment block... ehh, fun times
