Well it looks like I went off the grid entirely for a few weeks there. Our youngling is just a dream to have around: she rarely cries, but prefers to limit her time mostly to eating and sleeping. Much like her father would like to do, to be honest!

Great guess Voolf, but it's even simpler than that. The little lady's called "Sam". Which (now that I think of it) might sound boy-ish in some languages, but it's a perfectly okay girl's name where I live. Sam's name was largely inspired by that dreamy girl from the eponymous comic. Comic book Sam is both a dreamer and a doer. She always fights for justice in her own brave little way - an idealist, but with both feet planted firmly on the ground. Boy did I have great times reading that comic when I was younger! And then, years later, my wife just sort of brought up the name "Sam" when we started looking up girl's names. Turns out she read the comics too as a kid, even though it really isn't that well-known. A sign from the heavens

Oh! Haha yeah, I missed that entirely. But thanks for asking - the wife is doing exceptionally well. She recovered really quickly and was running about again in no time. Me, it takes me a week to recover from a minor snivel, but that girl... Women really are the stronger sex!
