I'd recommend seeing the shading through, adding some variation to the colors with a parchment background (and color layers set to multiply) and it'll be glorious. It really doesn't need much to be finished.

It has spunk ! If I may, one last piece of advice. You have interesting cracked mud fields and, recently, Abu Lafia made this. If you want to push it a bit further, that could look cool.

Abu did make some excellent patterned ground there! But I'm a little confused - what from that map do you think I should incorporate here?

Wow, Thomas, that was subtle but it looks really great! The mudcracks were already my favorite part of this project, but now they are even more so.
