Yeahh, here come the dark waters!.
Joke aside, the contrast and effect with the lands is just spot on.
The colours and texture look good.

Once again I'm forced to admit defeat... too much on my plate to have time to finish this.
Since I figured I'm not going to hit the deadline, I decided that I might as well do this properly. The images posted thus far have actually been full-sized - in an attempt to make things easier, I kept the size of the map very small. I have now doubled the size and started the lineart over. I really did like Ifrix' prompt and and have enjoyed working on this so far, so I'll try and do it proper justice, even if it won't be in time for the challenge. Thanks for the encouragement, everyone, and of course If in particular <3 Hopefully someday you will see this archipelago in all its glory.
