Seconded, unfortunately. It just doesn't seem to work with this map.

I'm glad that some of the modifications are not that good and that is said out loud as it gives trust that the others are better.

I like the tattered edges and the canvas texture but the crumples are just too much going on. I'm guilty of overworking things all the time.

Great maps! I very much like its realism without looking like a satellite picture. This is still a drawing. With those nice vibrant colours, it sort of reminds me of a tourist/theme park map. I agree that the crumpled paper doesn't fit the drawing. That's more for old-looking maps, imho.
I'll definitely check out the tutorial.

Really beautiful map. I, too, like it better without the crumpliness, though!

Fantastic map; Blaidd beat me to it for the explanation.

I do like the crumpling - on the oceans, anyway. On the mountains it pushes the map over the edge a bit. Noonetheless, a wonderful map.

I decided to play with some filters and created painting from this map. So I used drybrush filter and put the picture over canvas. Finally I added wooden frames to it and some shadowing.

    Pasis, your work is brilliant!
I love the frame and canvas. In my novels a mayor of a small town has a painting of the surroundings lands. I can imagine it will look a lot like this (not the lands itself obviously, but the style).
