Thanks Uncle Bogues! I hope you had great holidays. I've been trying to get hold of contractors after the last ones came in, measured up, then never got back to me. I've managed to find a team of goblins to come in and do a bit of the stonework around the walls. I think they've done a reasonable job considering the short notice I gave them. I have to get some more materials in and somehow contract someone to make bronze doors. Bronze man! Your budget is too meagre, I'm barely going to break even on this job. I'm cutting me own throat!

Good job Straf ! And good to read from you again !

Maybe brass is less expensive than bronze in your area ?

Well... short question, long answer : not too good, not too bad either. I've lost my mojo somewhere on the road, between pandemic and job trouble. I miss drawing, reading threads and sharing WIPs, but "the best is yet to come" isn't it ? so hopefully I'll be back in no time with tons of new maps ?

I'm really struggling here. I'm trying really hard to get this how I want it to look but I'm failing. I might have to try again tomorrow.

I'd post a WIP but it takes like 10 minutes to get it to a size I can post.

The stone came for the floor of the big room so we've been laying that down. Still no sign of the doors yet - they'd better hurry up!

Hmmm, the text description makes less sense the more I map

I bumped into some thirsty orcs who made short work of the masonry for the big room but they also made short work of my ale. Luckily there's still some mead for the goblins. I've got to install some stairs because that octagonal room is 15' down. Some wag took the ladders away when I was down there inspecting the stonework and left me stranded for 3 hours. Some bugger ate my packed lunch as well.

Making progress Straf, it is so hard to find good help. Who would have thought you would have trouble with orcs and gobins?

Thanks for the stairs Bogie. Your lads did a grand job. I hope you like the mead I sent back with them.
