Yup, have to agree 100% with that.

This is looking great - can't wait to see what the next development is!

    I'm glad you do!

I've started to add some color, although it is very basic at the moment. Mostly I just needed to stop putting in windows and do something else. I'm trying to figure out how much detail I want to add at street-level, since a lot of it will be consumed by an unappealing mist.

Thanks, Bogie! I'm surprised I was able to do this without a program like SketchUp! Although it did take me several attempts to start to get it right!

You could paint in the mist first. Keep it on it's own layer and just toggle it on and off to draw in the details that matter. Might save you some time.

I think that you did even better than if you used Sketchup (thinking about the way you made non parallel lines), my only criticism maybe if that on some sides the openings are not decreasing in size downward ?

Yup, that is probably the best thing to do.

Thanks, Tenia! And yes, you're right that not everything is narrowing consistently. I need to get moving on the rooftop details but if I have time, I'll fix the slope.

It's very interesting to see how the colours further improve the perspective effect! Good work! Good work!

First off, kudos to you for attempting something as complicated as a birds eye one-point perspective city-scape in a challenge (especially when you are new to it). That takes courage. Having said that it doesn't look to me like all of your buildings make sense given the perspective. It may be too late to make any changes, but nevertheless perhaps this will observation will prove useful for future pieces. All of the green lines below represent buildings that share a common vanishing point. All of the red lines below represent buildings on alternate vanishing points. This shouldnl't occur in a one-point perspective piece, all of the vertical lines should intersect at the same point. Hope that was helpful.

    Cheers,
    -Arsheesh
