    The discussion here has been super interesting and had me researching various types of alcohol and how fungus are used. Traditional Chinese Baiju apparently uses fungus to start off the process but along the way I stumbled across this:

    I'm sure someone might find that inspiring. Also will post my next update tomorrow. Most of the linework is done now so it's mainly just colouring it.

    I've tasted something called "viperine", an alcohol produced in the french Alps. Aquavita where a dead viper is floating. I've also tasted a central american alcohol where a dead chameleon floats in guava alcohol ...

    Theres a part in Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin series where the Dr's supply of preserving spirits are disappearing because the crew keeps drinking them out of the specimen jars. Which is how gross that experience sounds Thomas .
