The patience you have to do this all by hand is astounding! The details are looking great!

Thanks Arimel. I choose to do a looot of details, maybe too much. I hope that with colors and a good description, those lines could be clearer.
I finished the lines of the city... For now I have to freeze this project, in the future I will put some details in the corners, colour the map, scan it and put all the labels... so
I have a looong way on before finishing.

Thank you Kai, it is really great how the process of making the map helped me to "create" the background of the city. I started with a general concept of the story of the city and while I was adding details, I did it thinking about the "reasons" of each piece. So now I have a complete background for the setting, ready to use for a future D&D campaign.
But... I found unaspected time so I started the colouring process.

Hi all, as I mentioned in another thread, I´m doing another version of my Civita Maxima map.
here it is the first of three maps that will show the city in more details. I would like to know what do you think about it before I do the others two (obviously I will do them in the same style).

Thanks in advance for any feedback
It looks good but I would be more consistent with with the borders. The floral design seems to go under everything but a few are aligned for it to show while others simply cover it. The black border goes over most but is under the top left corner. etc. I think if it is made more consistent - the ones that are lower are always lower and those on top are on top - it would look a bit sharper. However, the layout and everything else looks really good and I really like that font.
Thanks Arimel. I've changed a bit the map due to your suggestion. I will finish all the maps of this city and post them in the finished maps section.
So... inspired by the great map of Batat (lapidelubri) and thanks to the Josh tutorial (here) I tried to draw some mountains.

I have to practice a lot before use the first style... while I'm thinking in doing a regional map with the second one.
Thoughts?
