Finally got most of the colouring done. Just a lot of adjustments to play around with. Might also throw a desaturating filter on top of the whole thing - not sure.
I still need to do the fields too. Boo fields.

Fields are Woot!

These fields are driving me mad. Have redone them a bunch of times. Thoughts and advice?
I'm not sure what you're trying to convey, so I don't know what advice to give.
What are you trying to do with them and how do you feel it is not succeeding?

Well my first concern is whether they look good or not I suppose. Essentially it's just just farmland for wheat/barley/oats.
What I would like to aim for is a landscape more like this. That is the end result of feudal open field ploughing over many years.
But I can live without that. So most importantly - do my fields look ok? (on a side note most of the unpainted stuff and a good portion of the periphery stuff will be cropped out when I attempt to use a more parchmenty background).
Yeah, i think they look good. I will say that the colors seem to contend with each other.
The brighter more saturated green grass doesn't feel quite right with the field color.
I have something I can try to show you tomorrow for doing that furrowed look. Off to bed now though.

Larb - this is what I was going to show you.
I based it on the image you linked to.
Those furrows look a lot bigger than what I saw in your fields so in my example I did them bigger.
I scribbled some info on the images so I didn't have to type as much.

Hope that is helpful/useful. If you have any question about it just ask.
It may not be the look you would want but that is what I would do to convey those furrowed fields.
