I think the other one looked great, shame you didn't like it. This should be interesting as well though, one rarely sees a map at this scale.
Damn... There's obviously a reason why I didn't do that kind of map... If I finish this in time, it's gonna be a miracle.
Anyway, at least, the armies are more well integrated.
The "new beginning" then

I liked the old version, but I think the armies fit a lot better into this type of map. It looks very promising! I hope you will be able to finish it in time.
@Falconius : yeah, that was tempting to try.
@Neyasha : I think so, but they are not fitting the perspective, as a consequence... And it's more than unlikely I finish this in time.
I don't know what I'm doing, and there's probably a lot of wrong things... I guess I should add more details to the mountains, but things are pretty messed up already.
Hence, not much of an improvement/addition...

Well I don't think its messed up at all!
A very interesting scene - and exquisitely drawn
Mountains are just these big ugly things that take up a lot of room anyway, but at least they are fairly easy to detail at the shading and colouring stage
I LOVE all the little armies and figures

I am loving how this is turning out. The awesome army figures reminds me of a fantasy version of the Civil War battle maps that first attracted me as a kid to mapping.
Loving how this turns out. These forests are cool by the way
Thanks for your support, guys!
The rather small contribution of the day, with some rearrangements.

I like how you've done the mountains and the variety of trees near the mountains. The only thing that confuses me is whether there's a river coming down the mountains in the middle, past the farmhouse and catapult, to join up with the river in the foreground. I can't tell if it's a river or just some shading. I would vote for a river.
