I think in this instance I have to agree.
I had in my mind's eye envisaged the more generally used parchment scroll - a roll of parchment with curly ends, but now that I've seen the title with a background I think its better without anything really.
Personally, I like the title better without the background banner. It's easy to read and less intrusive.
The mountains and ruins at the base seem pixilated to me. But it's probably to late to do much about that... maybe the smudge tool...
Overall, it's a fine looking map.

@Mouse: Well, mostly everything in this map is me going outside the norm, so a generic scroll wasn't what I wanted anyway.
I took the banner out again
I am, however, at a loss at what needs polishing and if, and I mean if, there is something else that needs to be added.
