This is looking fabulous already, Kacey
The mountains are terrific, and I love braided borders.
(And that's just reminded me that I have a regional map of my own that I really ought to be finishing!)
tried sending PM, didn't work

Thank you so much Abu Lafia, I will try making the sea darker.
Thanks Bogie, I appreciate the input, along with Abu’s water tip this map may look completely different when I’m done with it... I’ll definitely try that too.
Hmm, that’s weird... Did you get the one I sent?
Thank you Mouse, I can’t wait to see this map of yours or do you already have a thread that I missed some how?
It's coming along well.

I've been feeling a little more mappy lately so I thought I'd get back to work on this one. I've mostly been working on the border shading which is hardly noticeable at a glance. I might do another shadow pass on it but I haven't decided yet and I got the first pass of Mountain highlights in so I'm pretty happy with the progress since these are two things I've been dreading for a while now knowing how long they would take. I rushed through the mountain highlights a bit so they may be a little sloppy for now but I plan on reducing the opacity and going in with a second pass to sharpen them up a little down the road.
Let me know what you think, critique is welcome as always.

It is discreet but definitely visible. You are really good with this subtle shading !
Aww, I will never be tired to look at this map. I'm happy to see you back, Kacey
Great work, Kacey - lovely to see you back at this one
