Looking fantastic already and keen to see it develop.

You worked Dain's solution pretty well, imo. But I also love Abu's elegant solution. It could be even better with a kind of "gutter" shading (hope you see what I mean).

The gutter shading ? is it like what Caenwyr used for his rivers on the Tesset Gali map ?

If it's not, tu peux tenter de m'expliquer en français, ça sera sûrement plus simple

Anyways, I'll try Abu's way too but I'll first redraw my river system. As it is, it doesn't fit with the isometric view.

Well, I've done a quick test on Abu's test .

Hope it's more clear (l'idée, c'est de donner l'impression de creux, en gouttière donc). A slight touch of the red color could be added btw.

That's what I thought ! The piece I was talking about is this one :

I'll sure give it a try and try to add some red, maybe by erasing randomly some green to play on the transparency.

I won't be able to work on the map during the next ten days but at least, I know how to go at it now and it's all thanks to you. Special thanks to Abu Lafia et Ilanthar, the ideas you came up with are genius.

I'm glad you people were kind enough to help me on this. The Guild is really a place with wonderful people. Thanks a lot !

After some vacation, I went back to this map. It's been quite difficult to dive back into it. I tried Abu's solution for the canopy and the rivers but wasn't satisfied by the result so I stuck to Dain's solution (might try again later though).

I worked on the plateau in the north-west corner and the big moor/marshland that goes by "The Unland" (a Hellboy reference). Not really satisfied by the colors in the area but I'll rework it.

I also have to add details to my mountains that are pretty simple and the shadows that go with the details.

Terrain details are not easy for me but I'll have to do it someday.

Here's the result, feel free to speak your mind, it direly needs improvement.

It's very very nice! I love that plateau! I'm still on the fence about the rivers in the forest... Just not sure what would be better..
