    Thanks ThomasR.

To prove that I haven't been slacking (I have been slacking) here is what I've put together so far for Tempest Keep.

Shading and highlighting are something I've never messed with before but I thought I'd try here. Any feed back on on that element would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure if the shading and highlighting on the ground are something I will keep or not.

The shading is great! It adds interest and depth to the map

The final element I have in mind is The Monastery of the Clouds. I've started on something in a slightly different style based on Rila monastery. I looked around at a few monastery plans on google image but they all had a far too familiar shape that brought to mind clearly Western European Christian settings which I didn't think fitted.

Here's what I've taken so far from Rila but I'm planning on expanding the Eastern section with something a bit different.

The shading is basicly fine, but it feels of that it hits the corner of the building - in real life a small overlap like that would probably run up along the wall and even if it did reach the roof I would cheat and not let it as it "flattens" the building it touches.

Thanks for the pointer, I've updated the castle map. I also did some slight tweaks on the shading.

Here is the map for the Monastery and tomb complex.

Next up is to start combining everything and hopefully finally have a WIP update. Then begins the task of labelling everything!

Nice. Can't wait to see this all come together. So many pieces. Will be great to see the final product.

Thanks, ask and ye shall receive! (receive a scaled down version without labels) How I'm going to do all the labels and what other stuff I might include is another question entirely but as we are running into the last week of the challenge I suppose I better get cracking.

you've got a lot of stuff to bring together and exactly one week to do it.

    Don't panic, don't panic!

I'm getting to the point where the final image is starting to get too big to work with on my monitor really. Maybe it would have been easier to label up each piece individually. I'm also not really sure what to do with fonts and style. Do you guys think it's better to be consistent and use the same across all sections or will using different styles work at all? An example of what I'm procrastinating over is below.
