Okay, I have re-tried to do this map and finish it off but it seems I can't get the marsh/swamp quite right.
I'll post up some examples of what I have done soon but I am stuck.
Any ideas?
This is still just gorgeous. I used to draw my maps by hand, but nothing I ever did even comes close to what you've accomplished here so far. I am most definitely looking forward to seeing more. And man, I just gotta give you some rep for this once I've spread some around.
Great Work!

I'm no master of this iso hand-drawn work but the only idea that I have is make a palm tree brush without the trunk and just use the leaves repeatedly to give something slightly spikey yet curvey. This is a 2 minute demonstration, not perfect but sort of the idea I was aiming for...maybe it can give you an idea.

Darran, that map is too amazing for words.
You've fixed up the largest river, but the others are still too straight, unless I'm confusing rivers with roads, in which case you should probably find some way to differentiate the two.
Anyway, REP!
